Interested in sharing some of your work with the English teaching community in Chile? Want to see your ideas in print?

TESOL Chile is inviting contributions for the next edition of the TESOL Chile newsletter 'In a Word' to be published in September/October 2007. The Newsletter will be available for all at the TESOL 2007 National Conference in La Serena as well as published online on www.tesolchile.net. The aim of In a Word is to share developments, activities, ideas and reflections on the teaching and learning of English with teachers of English across Chile. We are hoping that some of you will be keen to contribute and share your work.

We are seeking contributions that are both practical and reflective, in the 3 following areas: 1. Share an activity or approach that you have developed or tried out (500 - 3000 words). 2. Expound on an idea or theory regarding the teaching and learning of English (500 - 3000 words). 3. Share a story from your experience regarding developments in your own classroom, work with students, or projects (max 300 - 1000 words). This could be included within our new section 'Teaching and Learning English across the Regions'.

Please submit your contribution by email attachment to this address before 30th July. The TESOL Chile Committee will review and select submissions following this date and all authors will receive feedback regarding their submission.

With regards to submissions, please list the personal details that you would like included such as name, workplace and email address for further contact, as well as a short autobiography up to 50 words detailing your work and experience that you would like included in the newsletter. Please attach any graphics/pictures that support your article ensuring you have any necessary permission for their submission. Finally, TESOL Chile will have copyright on articles published. Please do not submit articles that have previously been published or submitted elsewhere.

Any further enquiries or to discuss an idea that you have for an article, please contact Kirsty Brown at this email address, writing Newsletter in the subject line.

The TESOL Chile Newsletter is a vehicle for sharing ideas and reflections on the teaching and learning of English through the contributions of it's members. We hope to hear from YOU!

Best regards,

Kirsty and the TESOL Chile Committee
